Let it Snow

I really have fallen in love with this card.  I used The Sweet Stop Challenge #86 Sketch challenge for inspiration on this card.  This sketch was just perfect for the idea I had for my card.
The Pink Elephant challenge # 90 asked us this week to make a winter wonderland and thought of my PennyBlack Snow-Man and my "Let It Snow" stamp from Stampabilities.
Also this week Simon Says Challenge wanted us to use the color sceme of Silver - Blue - White.  I used the blue Bazzill cardstock and the circle background paper is sweet.. it came from Heidigrace collection called Bubbles.. you can't really tell but it has a bit of shimmer to it.  I backed it with some silver cardstock. I flocked Snowies ear muffs and used M.S, tinsel glitter for a snowy ground.  The blue snowflake garland in the middle is also from M.S, line.  I figured this all made a very cute Winter Wonder Land just perfect for the Pollycraft Challenge #74 - Winter Scene.    Take a look at this photo inspiration that The Cupcake Inspiration challenge # 89 wanted us to use this week.
It gave me inspiration to use the snowflake button and add a sparkle snowflake to the inside.   I decided to finish the inside and used the same bubble pattern paper inside and cut a silver top note for my writing space,  I hope who ever I decide to send this to loves it as much as I do.   Since I am creating my Christmas Cards at the last minute I have to include the Allsorts Challenge #82 - Last minute Christmas Projects.

So sorry for the picture quality.. it just doesn't do the colors justice at all.

It's 8 oclock at night and I have to make at least 2 more cards so I better get going.

Happy Holidays

I know I keep saying I'm back and then no posts for quite some time.  What the heck is wrong with me?  I can tell you that it has been really hard to get in the mood.  Things in life right now are not going very well for me and my family so it is hard to feel the spirit of anything let alone card making or crafting.  Well I have to get out of this mood and this pity party of myself and get on the ball.  I have to remember that I am very lucky for the things I do have -  My mother.. my kids..( my oldest is coming home today for two weeks) and the greatest friends a person can have.  I am the kind of person that doesn't let a lot of people in and close so I don't have a bunch of friends but the ones I do are the very best and for that I am VERY grateful.

So last night I slapped some reality in me and started to create some cards.  Christmas is right around the corner and if I don't hurry up it will pass me by and I want to make sure those in my life know how much I appreciate them so have to get the cards done.

First thing I made was gift tags.  I created these to sell on my Etsy.  If you interested in looking here is the link:  http://www.etsy.com/people/BigMammascraftin

See down there in the left corner is a example of the back of the tag.  It's just plain white so you can write anything you'd like.. not just To: or From:.  This was such a simple fast clean and simple project.  Took no time at all.  Love it!

There is more to come I PROMISE so please followers .. DON'T GIVE UP ON ME!!!!

Christmas Blue Bird

Made my first Christmas Card!  I can't believe it's already that time.  I used a new stamp from Stampendous called Chickadee. The Alphabet Challenge - Letter B for Birds, and the little chickadee was the perfect stamp.  Such a simple stamp but soooo many possibilities.  Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #23 had a great sketch this week.  I put a different spin on it and made it a gate card.  Here is the sketch.
I colored the little bird with Prisma, out lined the stamp with glitter and used a lot of bling as the berries.  I also loved the paper that has all the holly in it so I decided to carry it over to the sentiment.  Just a little more.. what the heck.  Paper Romance Challenge #30 said to use everything but the kitchen sink and A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #128 said Relish to Embellish.   I pretty much did,  I dug out some old stuff and used some new stuff.  As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use my new Nesties I just bought.  I've been wanting this design - Lables, for a while.  They can be used for so many different things.  Plus it worked perfect for Raise The Bar Challenge #43 - Let's see those curves.   Charisma Cardz Challenge #44 wanted to see our Christmas projects and Little Red Wagon Challenge #53 wanted us to use Red.

On the inside of the card I had some card stock that had the holly decorations in the corners and it was able to be cut to the perfect size without loosing the holly.  To me it was the perfect finishing touch.  Another great part of this card is the holly in the corner (part of the sentiment) it hold the card closed.  Just slip that side under the leaf.   Haha.

A Thank You note card

I made this simple little note card for a guy friend that is going through a bunch of crappy stuff.  It's blank inside so I can let him know everything will be ok.  The stamp is new.. first time I used it.  It's a Hero Arts stamp and I've been wanting a bicycle stamp for some time.  I've seen so many great cards made with them.  The basket and flowers are part of the stamp but I cut it off and popped it up.  The little bird was just a tiny sticker I had lying in front of me when I was making this card.  It worked so well.
I decided to decorate the inside.  Just a little trim,  without it looked very undone.

Happy Fall

I hope everyone is having a great week.  It is suppose to be Fall here but it is still in the 80's.  That's what you get when you live in AZ.

I want to show off a card I made for a few challenges.  I bought this stamp a while ago and just now am getting to use it.  I love how he/she (?) is just Chilling out on it's pillow.
The stamp is a Whipper Snapper Design.  I just love their stamps!  It's name is "Cha-Cha" so perfect.

I used Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #29 - I turned it side ways.
The Color Dare Challenge #83 had a great color challenge this week.
                             GREEN  -  PLUM - VANILLA  - WHITE
The Polly Craft Challenge #68  card should show something "Chillin"
Stamp Something Challenge wanted us to stamp something with some pink.  Every little poodle should be on a plush pink pillow.
Incy Wincy Designs Challenge #66 & Wee Memories Challenge #29 both were challenged us to stamp or make anything..

I just want any one who may stop by to know all these are great challenge blogs and should all be checked out.  Try it.. have some great fun!
