MOJO Monday 253

Here is a card that I made for my kids “Granny”.  On the 23rd of this month she will turn 80!  She is so young at heart.  I thought I also would enter this card in the MOJO Monday 253 challenge.  Isn't this sa great sketch.
The poka dot back ground paper comes from a 2008 KI Memories stack.  Solids are from my DCWV solid stacks and the honey comb impression plate is a Tim Holtz design.  The flowery paper is a new stack I just got but I believe since it was on clearance it must be an older DCWV stack.  It is called The Gilded Orchard.  I just got the new SU Daydream Medallion stamp set and also coordinating dies that goes with it.  They are so much fun.. you can layer them or use them one at a time.

Granny's 80th

Well I hope you like this one.  I’ll need to make another one for Granny for the kids to give to her.  So come back and see what I come up with.

Another Thank You challenge card

I made this card for The Sweet Stop, Sweet N Sassy Stamps Sketch Challenge.  #SSS170.  Their sketch caught my eye.  First it is so simple which I like that.  I’m not a huge fan of tons of layers and I love adding a bow to a card.  Take a look, isn’t it a sketch you should keep handy and use over and over again.

Knowing I was going to make another Thank You card I went through my stamps and found a set I had not used.  It’s by Hampton Arts the Ditto line.  If you shop at Michaels then you should know this line.  Very Cheep and they have some really cute stamps.   The set has two stamps the large saying and then a smaller stamp that is a scroll with a heart and two little flowers.
I started searching though all my flowers and could not find any small enough to add to the card.  I did find the last two I had of these very little flowers… so perfect but they were white.  That would not work since I was stamping on white cardstock.  I thought, what if I colored them?  Here is a picture showing you how white they were.
before flowers
I grabbed three of my red Copic, starting with the deepest at the top and going to the lightest at the tips.  copics used on Thanks for everything
I think they turned out great and now I think maybe I just need to buy white flowers and I can make them any color I need.  LOL   I won’t but now I know I can hi-lite flowers and give them different dimension. cxolored white flowers red
Have I lost you.. I got kinda of crazy about these silly flowers but I guess I surprised myself by taking a situation that I didn’t have the right item and turned it into something that worked out perfect for what I needed..
On to the finished product.
Thanks for everything

Thanks again for stopping by and please tell your friends. I would love more followers.

Hero Arts challenge.

This little 4x4 card  is for the Hero Arts monthly challenge.
Their monthly challenge theme is:

I’ll be making quite a few Thank You cards coming up.  My daughter in WA likes me to keep her supplied.
Back to the challenge.  Hero Arts gave us these three sketches to pick from.  I think you can tell which one I chose, but I will be making the other two in the next couple of days.

This was the first time I use the new Hero Arts Framelits I got a while ago.  These guys are hard to find.  I happen to run into just one at JoAnne's and snatched it up.  I haven’t seen them again.   These are so easy to use and stamp so nicely.  I used dimensional to pop it up and added a little bling.
Elegant Thanks

Keep your fingers crossed for me.  Winners get a $50 shopping spree and now that I’m out of work (again) I don’t get to go shopping like I use to for my craftin goods.
Better start on the next card.  Hope every one has a great week and don’t forget to drive safe.  School starts again this week.  At least out here it does.

CAS-UAL Friday Challenge Card.

Wanted to share with you the card I created for Cas-ual Friday Challenge #CFC64.  This week the project needed to feature “things you see in the sky”.  What else works in the sky than a cute little plane flying by saying Thanks.   I used my little cloud stamp from Imaginisce.  It’s from the Happy Camper collection.   You probably can’t see but the cloud on the far left is popped up with some dimensional foam.  I picked the paper from a 6x6 pad by Jillibean Soup called Apple Cheddar Soup.  This paper was very simple blue with little poka-dots but you should check the series out. Such adorable paper.
CAS-Friday CardThe little plane and it’s swirl of smoke came from a little mini set by KaiserCraft.  It’s called Little Man. I also popped up the plane.  I am beginning to really rely on my mini stamps so much more than my large sets.  At least for quick simple cards.   Last but not lease don’t you love my little banner.  Thanks!  I have a great set by Pebbles, it has 9 different sayings on different banners.  Now all I need is to find a die set that I can make this work with.  If you have any ideas I would love to hear your suggestions.
One last thing is I used Stampin Up colors for all my inking.
The blue is: Tempting Turquoise
The green is: Old Olive
The Orange is: Tangerine Tango
Well thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my simple little card.

Fun Frames for sale.

I just wanted to take a moment and show off some frames I’ve made and have for sale at my Etsy shop.  I also have some great Halloween decorations there also.  Come by and take a look.

Las Vegas Frame
Wouldn’t this be a great frame to put that Las Vegas trip memory picture.  Some crazy night you and the girls had or maybe your “drive thru” wedding pic.  LOL   The cards are real from the Golden Nugget and so are the dice.    The background die paper is high quality scrapbook paper and all items are finished and sealed with matte Mod Podge.
Super Star
Football season is starting up and I know many of you have kids or grand kids that are in football.  What a great way to display their winning picture making that touch down or team photo.  I created this frame to look just like the field they are playing on.. Made with real Astro Turff with all edges heat sealed.  The football and lettering are heavy duty chipboard sealed with Mod Podge and the letters are brown glittered.
Both the frames are 4 x 6 picture size.

Time to get craftin.  Let me know what you think.  Love to hear from all of you.
