I wanted to use a SU set, that I recently bought, called Tart & Tangy. I knew I wanted to use the orange slices as part of a card and add glitter to the inside. I used my Stickles for that. You probably can't recognize the cherry stamp from the set. I used two little red buttons and my Martha S. leaf punch to vamp it up.
Katlin is my youngest daughter's BFF. They are inseparable and she is a great girl. I was bored today and decided to make a Father's Day card for her to give to her dad. Looking through my challenge blogs I really love the sketch from The Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge #111. It is simple but perfect for the idea I had.
Then I started looking for a good color combo. Not to crazy or girly colors, it is a card for a man after all. Wanted to make sure the colors were manly and The Color Q Challenge #88 had the perfect combo.
So what do you think.. I really like the extra touch I put in the bow - the golf tee. Had to dig through my golf bag for that one. I colored the golfer with my Copic and the stamp set is from SU.
Well I'm back again... I know they are far and few but work is hard and I am lazy.. lol.
My DD, who lives in Seattle, her boyfriend is graduating college in the next couple of weeks. BTY - , has his own coffee roasting company (www.dorotheacoffee.com), graduating with 2 B.S. and 2 Minors and he is only 20! What a guy he is!
Wanted to create something that was not girly and not childish. Somehow I pulled this card out of my ??? and wow! It turned out great. For once I really like what I created.
