Peachy Keen Challenge #19

Well first I want to say Happy New Year to all.  I can only hope that 2010 will, and can only be better than 2009.  Wasn't so great for me but I am going to work hard on making 2010 the best.  This blog and all the great people I am meeting here is definitely a way to start.  My resolution is to be a better friend to the ones I have.  Sometimes I get caught up in my little world and I need to open the door and see what everyone else is doing and what I can do to help them.  Enough of that~  On to the newest card I made today.  It is for the Peachy Keen Challenge #19

Pretty simple sketch... huh?  I right away knew what I wanted to do.  I got a new pack from TPC Studio -  Coffee Cafe

Saying stamp: Inkadinkado  "with enought caffeine. i could rule the world."

Colored in the cups with Copic and Pencil.  Popped them up with foamy dots.  Added some bling to the cup on the right.  Colored in the cups so they look like one is black coffee and the other is creamer... lol.  I'm a creamer girl myself.    All the rest are scraps of paper I have and ribbon from other projects.

Those are probably two of my favorite colors to use on cards.  The brown and green together.  They are so easy to work with.

Lots of love from Big Mamma~

The Pink Elephant Challenge #47

Ok folks one more card tonight.  This one was easy and came to me right away.  This design team really has some great talent.  That didn't sound right.. they ALL have great talent.  This challenge had a choice between two different sketch.  I did the first one shown.  No particular reason and I probably will use the other for another card.

It's my first Valentines Card and I know just the person I'll be sending this to.  Can't tell it's a secret.  *shhhsshhh*

Stamps:  Stampendous - Bee Buddies

                  Inkadinkado - Be My Valentime

Embossed Bazzill Paper - Cuttle Bug Swirls

I don't know if you can see their wings close up or can tell but I tried out the Glossy Accents, filled them in and sprinkled Pink Tulip glitter.  It dried hard and puffed up.  I think this is my new favorite toy!

I used the following markers &
copics to color in Mr. & Ms. Bee.

Well everyone have a wonderful day tomorrow and be very safe if out and about.
HAPPY NEW YEAR   *** 2010***
YEEEPPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by Big Mamma~

Mojo Monday Week 119

Boy ole Boy.. I have no idea why this card took me two days.. and I know when you look at it you say, "why?"  I'd like to know that myself.  I had to stop last night and start up again this afternoon.  I guess I had "Card Makers Block"  LoL.

Well here it is.  Nothing special but had decided that I wanted to make it a new baby card.  Everything is scraps of paper I have.  I have quite a bit of scraps of paper from scrap  booking.  I have trouble throwing things away.

Big Mamma~

I{heart}2stamp - Up for grabs stetch for you to try...

I thought before I hit my fav feather pillow I'd show you the card I created for Jen's Up for grabs sketch for you to try challenge.  You know Jen from I{heart}2stamp site. The sketch was pretty darn simple but for some reason it took me all day to put this together.  I saw this stamp and thought I could use it for so many different things.  There are really 3 frogs on the stamp but I only inked 2 of them.

Supplies
You see the markers and little flower stamps I used.
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black
Stamp: Penny Black - Toadily yours
Scallop Circle: Sizzix wt Cuttlebug
Sentiment: it's your day!  Heidi Grace - It's My Party

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

It's Monday afternoon and for Arizona it is cold and dreary.   This kind of day you just don't want to get outta bed but hey I did.  I made a card for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.   It's a birthday card for my daughter - Ash.  I thought it was  the perfect stamp to represent us here at home.  Dylan, Me, Larissa & G-ma (gramma) wish her a great birthday.
The stamp is from Penny Black - Party Animal.  I added a little bling on top of the cupcake and put googly eyes on Mr. Giraffe.  I colored it with a combo of Copic and pencils. The star paper came from scraps I had and solid colors are all Bazzill Cardstock.Hope you like it.

Let me introduce you to ~

As promised I want to introduce you to another one of my babies. Big Mamma has a BIG BOY. Dylan is his given name but we call him The Beast. He has no idea how strong or big he is and everyone that knows him, knows what a “bull in a china shop he is”. He is my #2 baby and speaking of the #2 get this. He is the 2nd child, born in the 2nd month, on the 2nd day at 2 o’clock straight up. Crazy huh? Dylan is trying to find himself and is finally getting on the right track. He had taken a few wrong turns along the way but we are all keeping our fingers crossed that it’s all behind him. He talks about going into the military. I have very mixed feeling about that but this isn’t the place to get into it.

Speaking of military his best friend Giovanni just got leave from Iraq and is home for 20 months. Here they are together just a few days ago.

So now there is only one left that you don’t know about and it will take me a little bit to gear up to introduce her to the world. I’m not sure if anyone is ready for her. Lol!

I am just finishing up a card for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, so will see you soon.

Lots of love
Big Mamma~

The Papertake Weekly Challenge

Merry Christmas Eve day. First the "other" kids wanted to say Merry Christmas so here they are in front of the Christmas Tree. Muffin has her red Christmas sweater on and Brutis is on the right. Aren't they sitting very pretty.
p.s. this is only two of the zoo I have here and there was no way they were all going to sit together or quietly so baby steps on showing everyone off.

Here is my card for the challenge. The rule was a Thank you card but mine is a Thank Ewe card.. haha.

PAPER: DCWV Nana's Kids with glitter
Large Scallop - Bazill Fushia Pink
Large Scallop Die Cut - Sizzix
Punch Art:I have to give full credit to Chic' n Scratch Blog - Angie. Her video taught me how to make him. I use him often.
Stamp:
Whipper Snapper Designs - Little Thank Ewe. The whole stamp is of a little sheep, with a cute little bow on her head and the saying is in the body of the sheep. I used Marvy Brush Marker - Black on just the words and stamped it on the same Bazill Fushia Pink card stock.
Heart Punch: Fiskars Squeeze Handle punch.
Everything else, ribbon, middle circle, & charm are all scraps left over from other things.

If you're reading this then you are making me very happy and Thank Ewe very much.

Merry Christmas to all!

Mojo Monday Week 118

I picked up my baby girl - Ash yesterday and spent the day with her. We came home, she took a shower and immediately fell asleep. So much for catching up. Nooo we had a great day. I do have to be honest and I get my butt very hurt that she left my house last night and spent the night at her dads. So what that he has an extra bed room. So what that I spent a week with her in Seattle just in Aug. So what that he hasn't seen her in almost a year. I'm her mom and I want to be selfish and keep her all to myself. Then I grow up a little, very little, and say ok.. I understand... WHATEVER. Yes everyone I am 45 year old brat when it comes to my baby (23 yr old) girl I don't like to share. So the house is quite, everyone is at their dads. They do Christmas tomorrow morning and then Granny's tomorrow night. They all come home very late tomorrow night, we go to sleep and wait for Santa.

So in the meantime I have made a card for the Mojo Monday Week 118. It is for my girlfriends son's birthday Tyler. His is the first birthday of the new year in Jan.
Paper: Chain paper is from Color Box, Friendly Forest. The rest are all scraps I have left over from other projects.
Stamp:Hampton Art
Colored it in with Derwent Watercolour pencils, put a little bling at the scroll and Wha-la it's done.
Hope you all like it.
EVERYONE HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Sleep tight
Big Mamma love's you all.

2010 Christmas Card Challege Week #3

I'm down to hours before I pick up Ash. 12 hours to go until picking up Ash. While I'm sleeping it really doesn't seem like 12 hours so lets just jump to about 4 more hours and I see my daughter. Well you get what I'm saying. She has been going through a rough time lately. Her boyfriend after 5 years has decided that he might have feelings for some other girl. WHAT the hell???? Either you do or you don't.. Well she said seeee ya! I am so proud of her but of course it hurts. So she really needs to be home and have family right now. I need to let everyone one know I also have two other kids that I love more than life but right now it's all about Ash and soon I will get to them.

On to the main reason why I'm here. 2010 Christmas Card Challege Week #3. I really worked hard at this card and, if I do say so my self, I think it turned out perrty darn good. I don't know if part of the challenge requirements are to list everything you use but I'll try. Some items are just scraps that I used up.
Paper: The card is covered is scrap paper, same with the black strip. I punched it with my Fiskas Boarder circle punch. The loopty loop strip is from Bazzill called "Just the Edge" cardstock strips. Flower paper is from Me&myBigideas - Petunia. I used the back side of Petunia (which is the lil blue dots) as the bottom mat on my sexy little lady stamp. The Pink glitter mat under the stamped image is just another scrap.
Stamps: My sexy little thing is called Ginger from Penny Black ... Friends is from Hampton Arts.
Coloring: Copic #100 black on her lace.... The Pink on her dress is just some pink colored pencil I had laying around. I took a gold gel pen and colored her purse. Her hair Copic #E09 Burnt Sienna & E37 Sepia.
You might not be able to see but on the top ruffle and bottom lace I sprinkled glitter to give it a little pop. I colored in friends with EK markers Rasberry Sorbet & Bubble Gum. The ribbon and flower are also scraps just hanging out on my desk.

Well I think that's it.. Crazy huh? Hope you like it. Have a great nite. It is now 11 pm and I better get to sleep so I can see my baby girl just that much faster.

Love to all Big Mamma~

Blending outcome

Well as I said yesterday I only had one more thing to get. It's got, presents are wrapped and everything is under the tree. What a feeling. Count down has begun for Ash to come home. Isn't she beautiful... ok .. ok.. I know I'm bias.

So I also said I was going to practice blending. I have a bunch of new Copic Sketch markers. I have really fallen in love with them. I follow a huge amount of bloggers to learn from and see what great things there are out there. One of my favorites is iheart2stamp.com. Her name is Jen. She posted a challenge yesterday and I gave it a good try so here it is. I hope I post this correctly and then link it all together. My first time at this. Any advise anyone can give is very much appreciated. I hope to keep doing these challenges.

I made this card for a very good friend of mine. I don't have a lot of friends and the ones I do have are very close and long time friends but live outta state so she really means a lot to me. Sunflowers are her favorite so I saw this stamp and thought of her. I hope she likes it as much as I like her. Shannon this ones for you. (she's a mother of 5 boys so I know she has no time to check this out.. hehehe.. she won't see this post)

Everyone have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY SAFE NEW YEAR.

One more for tonight...

Just wanted to share one more card that I made for Hanukkah. I used my birthday candle Sizzix for this one.

I also wanted to wish the cutest little boy I know a Happy 4th Birthday.. Happy Birthday Keith.

Happy Hanukkah

It's Saturday, just hit the afternoon mark. I thought I quickly show you a card I made for my "other" family that I grew up with. They are Jewish and when we were small we celebrated Hanukkah and they celebrated Christmas with us. I learned so much as a small child that I really appreciate the holiday now as an adult. We just lost Mrs. Steckl a few months ago, she was like my second mother. She was and really still is a very special woman. Mr. steckl is the best and I love him very much. I wish I lived closer so he would not be alone so much.

Well Happy Hanukkah to everyone out there and especially to Peter & his family and to Judy. We love you both very much.

I'm on a roll....

Day two and another post. Wow this is lasting longer than I thought. Winter is finally here in AZ. It is a bone chillin 55 degrees out right now. One of my girlfriends that lives in Iowa sent a picture of her back yard and the snow was probably knee deep. Never living in snow I don't really like it much. My saying is " the only thing cold and wet I want near me is my dogs nose".

Well back to stamping projects. Here are two more cards I made last nite. I really will work on taking better pictures. I have a great, expensive, Nikon L100 camera but for some reason my pictures show yellowish and blurry. If anyone has any ideas, tips, or tricks on taking great card pictures I'm here for the learnin.
This paper I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It's by Three Bugs in a Rug. My little reindeer, ribbon and embellishments I've had forever and can't tell you where I got it. The stamp is by D.O.T.S (yest that's how long I've been stamping) It says: "The present is wrapped, the riboon is tied.. Sure hope you like what you find inside..."

I had a bunch of scraps that I took the hodge podge of paper and made this card.

You've been to Big Mamma's Stampin House!

The best friend a girl can have.

Just one more thing today. Let me introduce you to the one guy in my life that is always there, unconditionally. Never wants to know where I've been, how much I've spent and is out of control with happyness when I do show up. He listens to every word I have to say and never talks back or argues. He is always there to conforts me and at night when my feet are cold he will keep them warm. I had his mother and he was one of 9 brothers and sisters. Mommy has since passed and now he is here to carry on the best friend status.
Soooo with out further ado.... BRUTIS a.k.a. BoBo or BoBoLisious.

He is withing you all a Very Happy Holiday.

My first post

Season Greetings All Monday, 07 December 2009

This is my very first post and my head is a jumbled mess. I have so much to say and so many things I want to share but hey one at a time. This past year life had thrown me a lot of lemons. I am working very hard on making lemon aid but every time I think I have my pitcher full something happens and it spills all over the place so I have to start over. Maybe someone out there knows what I mean. Well, I didn't start this to bring you all down. I am going to start "squeezing" more and more.

The first thing you must know about me is I am very sarcastic, smart-alecky, and have a very dry humor. It is always in such a good way and never meant to hurt anyone. Some times it comes across in the wrong way so right off that bat let me apologize If something is ever said here that might upset anyone. I grew up somewhat in a bubble area of my town and am pretty naive about many things. (THAT WAS MY DISCAIMER, IN CASE YOU DIDN'T FIGURE IT OUT...LOL )

A few months ago I had a brain fart and decided I was done with rubber stamping and sold all my stamps but maybe a hand full. Let's just say I had well over $5000.00 of just stamps. WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING! I must have fallen and hit my head and lost my mind for a while. So here I am longing for my stamps again and now starting my collection all over again. I have realized I am WAY behind the times. I have been blessed with a new bestest friend that came into my life and among many things she does for me she has introduced me to blogging and all the new things that I have missed out on and unaware of in my card making past. ( I will be telling you more about her and her family later) I have wanted to blog for sometime but never understood what it really means and always thought, “who the hell am I writing to?” “Who wants to hear what I have to say?” Well I hope there is someone out there that will read this. IF not at least one good thing has comes from it... I have gotten all this off my chest and it's cheaper than $150.00 a hour on a couch. haha LOL

Ok on with Stamping. Here are two cards that I made a couple of weeks ago. Sorry for the quality of the picture but I hope you like them.

The second one I found on YouTube and tried it out my self with a few modifications. I am sure most of you have seen it before.

I just also want to say that I am supporting Hero Arts and their new 2010 Catalog.
