A new craft room toy!

Hello everyone.  I hope everyone is all ready for the holiday.  Don't be caught doing the last minute thing on Christmas eve.

I have to show off a new craft room toy I picked up yesterday.  I have had my eye on this for a long time and know for sure it would not be under the tree.  Santa came early just for me.

The Recollections brand is a Michael's brand and I know they have a good product.  Plus used my 40% coupon.
 Very easy to put together.
It didn't take any amount of time to fill it up and I reduced the little jars and trays on my desk so now I have soooo much more room.   It comes with little plastic trays in each round basket but if you don't want them you can leave them out.  I like them in there to help separate the items.

Hope, in some way, this helps someone make a decision on weather to buy it or not.

An old wreath with a new face lift.

Today has been a very busy day.  I got more decorations out and finished the house.  I also made a new Christmas wreath for the front door.  The old one was looking so shabby.  I took everything off of it but a Santa head that was still looking ok and started over.

I think I got carrieried away with the extras above Santa, but I love how my bow turned out.

Next on the agenda is finishing the banner.

Let it Snow...Man

It's only 8 days until Christmas and only 5 days til my darling daughter (the one in Seattle) comes home for Christmas.  Can't wait to see her, I miss her so much!

Had to share another card I made for this season.  I just love this die set I got this year.  It's a Sizzix called Snowmen & Let it Snow.  The snowmen come in two sizes.  The one on the left is just a little smaller.  You can see an example of him on the previous post to this one.  On this card I used the snowman on the right and put the hat on him.  The set also come with a Sizzlit that die cuts out "Let It Snow".   I think I also might make package tags with Mr. Snowman. Wouldn't that look cute?

I think I'll submit my lil snowman card into the Die Cuttin Divas challenge #146 for this week.  They have great challenges, always so much fun.  If you're looking for some fun stop by and check the Divas out.

My next project I want to make a Ho Ho Ho banner for the living room.
Here's a sneak peak of what I'll be starting with.

Oh Snap

Have to show off one of my best Christmas Cards this season.
 I just love it.

I used my Sizzix snowman die and had the photo border from my Smash supplies.  Added some little googlie eyes and Snowy is looking good.

This card took me all of 10 mins so I think I'll enter it in the CAS-ual Fridays challenge #123.  This week the challenge is :  Let it Snow.

All my cards are done now so time to make the envelops and get them mailed off.

HO HO HO Christmas Card

Thought I'd show off another Christmas Card that I made for the ColourQ challenge #218.  Look at these colors they put together.  It's perfect for a old fashion Christmas Card.
Anything with Kraft paper is always so warm and comfy to me.  I already had the idea of what I wanted to make.  I got the Sizzix Tim Holtz die cuts of Mini Mustache  & Pointed Finger.

I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this.
What do you think?
I love it!

CAS Christmas card

I know, I know I said I was done for the night but I just can't stop myself.  This one is for CAS-ual Fridays challenge #122.
http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/2013/12/cfc122.html
I pulled out my Simon Says die - Small Forest Tree and a Bo Bunny stamp set called, Mistletoe Clear Stamps. (there is not one mistletoe image in the bunch... ha.. ha.)
Can you see that I used a real ornament hook.  It worked perfect.

One card Two challenges.

Two cards in one day. I'm on a roll.
The die is from PTI.  I love that it comes with about four different styles of lid options. I tried my hand again at masking.  Sometimes it works great but to me this time not so much.

I used a stamp from WRM - Berries on the inside.
I took the color combo from this weeks Colour Q challenge #218.
Check these colors out.
I also used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #199,
but I turned it sideways.

I hope everyone had a great day today.  I sure did.  I haven't spent the whole day in my craft room in forever.  It felt so good to break out all the Christmas stuff.
Look at what a mess I created.
I better get started cleaning this all up.

First Christmas Card of 2013

This weekend went by pretty fast which is very good for me since I worked all weekend.  Today is my day off so it is a day of card making all day long!

Showing off my first card.

I got crazy with my EK punches.  I used the Snowflake boarder and the single Large Snowflake.

I took my color scheme from The Players Paper color challenge #175

I hope you come back to see what I come up with next, I'll be posting soon.

Another Christmas Craft

I hope everyone had the best Thanksgiving!  Good food, good friends and great family.
 I sure did.
It was cut very short for me I had to go to work but it's all good.

Another Christmas Craft down!
It started with these cones and a bunch of poinsettia flowers.

Here is what came out of that mess.  I think they turned out so cute.
