Christmas Blue Bird

Made my first Christmas Card!  I can't believe it's already that time.  I used a new stamp from Stampendous called Chickadee. The Alphabet Challenge - Letter B for Birds, and the little chickadee was the perfect stamp.  Such a simple stamp but soooo many possibilities.  Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #23 had a great sketch this week.  I put a different spin on it and made it a gate card.  Here is the sketch.
I colored the little bird with Prisma, out lined the stamp with glitter and used a lot of bling as the berries.  I also loved the paper that has all the holly in it so I decided to carry it over to the sentiment.  Just a little more.. what the heck.  Paper Romance Challenge #30 said to use everything but the kitchen sink and A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #128 said Relish to Embellish.   I pretty much did,  I dug out some old stuff and used some new stuff.  As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use my new Nesties I just bought.  I've been wanting this design - Lables, for a while.  They can be used for so many different things.  Plus it worked perfect for Raise The Bar Challenge #43 - Let's see those curves.   Charisma Cardz Challenge #44 wanted to see our Christmas projects and Little Red Wagon Challenge #53 wanted us to use Red.

On the inside of the card I had some card stock that had the holly decorations in the corners and it was able to be cut to the perfect size without loosing the holly.  To me it was the perfect finishing touch.  Another great part of this card is the holly in the corner (part of the sentiment) it hold the card closed.  Just slip that side under the leaf.   Haha.
