I know it’s been a little bit but I swear I have been busy crafting. I have one Halloween project I hope to finish up tomorrow and I am also starting my Christmas crafts. Never to early to get ready for Santa!! LOL
Today I had to jump on a card for this weekend. Mom and I have a baby shower to go to. This little girl that is coming, mom will be her nanny, caretaker, babysitter... whatever you want to call it. Her, the babies’ mommy won’t be lucky enough to stay home with her so they are giving the honor of it to my mom.
Here is my favorite picture of her doing one of the things she loves doing best. She might be up there in years but she is like a work horse. She never stops and is as strong and healthy as that work horse, which is good and that’s the way I want to keep her.
I love this “Crazy Old Woman”!!!
Ok back to the issue at hand. Look at my craft desk..
What a mess!
I thought about showing off and explaining what everything is but really, I think it’s pretty self explanatory Everything that is on my desk are things I use for every craft I make. This is why I need a craft room... It’s coming soon. One thing I will point out is one of my favorite drinks. Can you tell – see it in the picture? It’s up there on the shelf above my Copics. MIO. Have you tried this liquid water enhancer? I love it. I hate drinking water but a little squirt of this and hmmmm I can drink a large glass down. It’s a little bit of money but believe me.. I little goes a long way. Very concentrated so give it a try.
So I sat down today to make a baby shower card. The first thing I do every morning is go through my reader and check out all the blogs I follow. I get so much inspiration and ideas. I feel like I am part of a giant friendship but I don’t have to entertain anyone. This is also when, if I know I have a card to make, I find challenges that will work for the card I’m making. Who knows I might be a winner one day. One of the first ones I ran into was over at The Cuttlebug Spot – What’s on your desk Tuesday. Now you know why I broke down and showed you what a bad housekeeper I am at taking care of the crap on my desk. It’s ok, that’s what blogging is all about, right!
I also ran into a awesome sketch over Authentique Paper blog: October Sketch Challenge. I really love their paper but right now I only have one 6x6 pad – The Essentials Collections. I really need to save up and collect more. I’ve just found the blog and love the paper so much I had to get my first pad a little bit ago. The sketch was just perfect for the idea I had. Take a look.
So what do you think about my card.
I’ve had this stamp for a very long time but it is my favorite baby go to stamp. I used my brand new Authentique paper pack for the card and piecing on the baby blanket. I guess that’s the reason I bought it, such beautiful paper. We know she is having a girl hence the pink! Speaking of pink – Copic Oz Blog challenge is: It’s time to Think Pink! It’s a girl,, the card is all about Pink... I’m in on this one. Plus I did try my best at blending with my two skin colors E02 Fruit Pink & YR00 Powder Pink. Then I used R02 Flesh for her cheeks.
It’ almost 10 pm and I have a whole day of crafting at my besties house tomorrow. I better try to wind down.
I really should try to put things away on my desk... ummmm.. NAAAAA
